Dora’s Review
La La Land, my two cents
Review by Dora Lee
In an economy where two cents isn’t worth two cents here are mine. This movie tries to evoke the glamorous movies of yesteryear…but it falls flat. Yes, this is the eternal struggle of the male or female would-be star’s rise to fame.

La La Land Dance
The frustrations, the angst and feelings of helplessness that are faced with no respite in sight. Through the highs and lows of their struggle it’s sad that they found their dream but lost each other in the process.

Ryan Gosling
The one bright spot in this movie is Ryan Gosling’s piano skills, otherwise it was quite unremarkable.
Although, there should be more thought in future film ventures of having actors do it all…besides acting, also singing and dancing or whatever other talents they may possess instead of just being another pretty face.
And finally, I hope this movie will not spur a revival of two-toned wing-tip shoes. Jitterbug anyone?
