By mid-June, the social season in Miami is over. The celebrities are heading out to Ibiza or the Hamptons or some other jet set Mecca. The parties and promotions have almost disappeared, and the locals are exhausted. Some are using this down period to rejuvenate themselves in anticipation of the forthcoming social season in the fall.
When you have the sun and the sea and the parties and the celebrities almost all year round, where do locals go for a vacation and a change of pace? Stewart and Dena took “Alive on South Beach” on the road in search of an easy, stress free vacation spot close to Miami, yet an area that has enough to see and do to stay occupied … or relax. They found Homestead.
But first, they went to the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami to see the debut of H20mbre – an on-stage water ballet directed by renowned Broadway choreographer Sergio Trujillo. And before that, they went to events for two very creative people, photographer Henry Perez and artist Anastasia the Great.
