As the CEO of SyndicatedNews.net I think it important to know what others in media are saying about today’s topics… where they stand, and what they think is important news.
Mr. Limbaugh really thinks about those who commit suicide, which is a hot topic in the news of late.
When a man expresses his feelings for such a shocking occurrence; and it appears that Rush Limbaugh is indirectly calling Gulf War veterans political leftists AND stating that they are depressed by ‘a false promise of America’ that is not for everyone, resulting in their suicides.
The Radio host whined this week, while commenting about Robin Williams and suicide, saying suicides are caused by a “political leftist” state of mind.”
“What is the left’s world view in general?” Limbaugh asked his audience the day after Williams’ death was announced. “If you had to attach, not a philosophy, but an attitude to a leftist world view. It’s one of pessimism, and darkness, sadness. They’re never happy, are they?”
And, although not directly addressing the tragedy and heartbreak of the huge upsurge of military suicides (the highest rate ever), he does lump those who commit suicide in to the same … box.
He further says about suicide that, “They’re animated in large part by the false promises of America because the promises of America are not for everyone,” he continued, pointing to a Fox News report, saying that those who do so have financial issues and ..”and suffer from survivor’s guilt.”
Apparently, it is the talk show host’s view, the conservative talker explained, for someone who kills himself, that “He could never get over the guilt that they died and he didn’t.” Referring to the suicidal person’s guilt about friends who have died by natural causes or other casues before them.
“Well, that is a constant measurement that is made by political leftists in judging the country.“
Maybe he didn’t mean “everybody”? … if not, he should say so. Or, is he finally speaking out in his way about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and his thoughts about those who came back broken and depressed… and suicidal?
Or, was he just using his strange talents to bash one of the finest humans in our history, one of the greatest Americans to get in to his spotlight?
