A Conversation between Dr. Randall Bell and Stewart Stewart
This past year and a half has been horrendous. In addition to the COVID-19 pandemic limiting our work and social existence, we’ve experienced multiple sudden and unexpected personal tragedies and losses. Needless to say, we were traumatized. Now we had to deal with post-trauma. So, when we had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Randall Bell, author of Post-Traumatic Thriving, we jumped at it.
Dr. Bell explained the results of unresolved trauma and how the quality of our lives depends on our ability to successfully process our heartbreaks and catastrophes. His book interweaves advanced science with stories of people who have not just survived, but used their trauma as the fuel to thrive. His philosophy and his book is inspiring and certainly helped us gain perspective on what we must do to heal and flourish.
Dr. Bell also introduced us to his non-profit organization, Core IQ, and the skills we need to function adequately in all aspects of life, but are not always taught to us in school.
