BABY cares for his deaf, physically disabled foster parent. (Briefly explained back story – BABY’s mother and abusive father were killed in a car crash when BABY was a young boy).
BABY is a young man with exceptional driving skills and a passion for driving. He blocks out the verbal abuse of the crazies he abets, with loud music – the music also blocks out his tinnitus. Plus, being a getaway driver pays better than being a Pizza deliveryman.
Then he meets Debora (Lily James), a barrister in a roadside diner, and BABY wants out of the dangerous world of crime – especially when his debt is paid off. But, Doc isn’t letting the best “lucky-for-him” getaway driver, get away so fast and easy.
The stellar cast of actors, including a bit part by Paul Williams as The Butcher, and the intense music and truly incredible, perfectly executed, adrenaline-pumping car chases, add to the fun of this complex, sometimes unexplainable, story.
