MIAMI SWIM WEEK

For Episode 73 of ALIVE ON SOUTH BEACH, Dena Stewart and Stewart Stewart went to Miami Swim Week events.

Held at the Kimpton Surfcomber, Planet Fashion, along with Ocean Drive Magazine, hosted the Miami Swim Week opening party.

All during the week, there were runway shows, music acts and a mix of people there to look, sell, and buy the adventurous new swim wear styles by creative swim wear designers.

As with most successful Expos and Conferences that come to Miami Beach annually, satellite shows pop up. So, while the Swim Wear expo was held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Hotels featured Swim Wear shows and parties, and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden offered a Nu Wave Swim Bazaar sponsored by Miami Magazine.

Of course, there were tall, skinny, beautiful models strutting the runways. However, there were also models that looked more like most of us wearing bathing suits that even I would be proud to be seen in on the beach.

So, we had a fabulous time during Miami Swim Week and look forward to the next one. “Maybe by then, Stewart will fit into that Speedo he thought ‘looked comfortable to swim in’ and Dena will dare to wear that string bikini!!!”
