Hugh Jackman portraying Gary Hart was excellent casting. Also, this movie is very timely. It got me thinking about then and now. Now, in 2018, while in this #MeToo era, would Gary Hart, a Yale graduate, a prominent Attorney, a Senator, be judged as harshly as he was then in 1987, or would his perceived indiscretions be forgiven?

THE ACCOUNTANT starts off as a story about a family torn apart by how to treat the violent tantrums of their younger son – Christian “Chris” Wolff who is autistic. Chris grows up to be an Accountant. As a mathematical savant, he uses his genius to cook the books of criminal organizations … and the story then becomes a mystery thriller.

With its usual glamour and excitement, The 33rd Annual Miami Dade College – Miami International Film Festival, “MIFF” once again brought film buffs and movie lovers, film directors, screenwriters, and actors, together to view and review pre-screened and award-winning International films, documentaries and shorts, that covered an array of subjects guaranteed to stimulate the senses and please the crowds that packed several theaters around town, as well as a star-studded opening night gala and closing night celebration.
