Attending eMerge Americas at the Miami Beach Convention Center this year (2026) was an eye-opening experience into the rapidly evolving world of technology and its critical intersection with safety. This premier global tech conference and expo brought together innovators, investors, government leaders, and industry experts to explore advancements in AI, deep tech, national security, health, and finance.
Sessions highlighted how emerging technologies are dual-use tools that can both protect and threaten our way of life. Experts addressed real-time threat intelligence, fraud prevention, and protecting critical infrastructure from cyberattacks.
The U.S. Army’s xTech|Live competition at the event highlighted solutions for military priorities, bridging commercial tech with national defense needs.

Attending eMerge Americas reinforced that keeping our country safe in the 21st century requires collaboration across sectors. Technology is a powerful ally, but only when guided by ethics, governance, and a commitment to human-centered safety.
The B2B Marketing Expo, also at the Miami Beach Convention Center complemented the tech-heavy discussions at eMerge with a practical, enterprise-focused lens on safety. While geared toward marketing, business development, and operational strategies, safety emerged as a unifying thread, particularly in how businesses navigate digital risks, AI integration, and broader national stability.

Transitioning from the convention center to the sands of Miami Beach for the Hyundai Air & Sea Show over Memorial Day Weekend, we were treated to a spectacular display of American “military might”. The show featured thrilling performances by fighter jets, high-speed boats, and interactive exhibits from all branches of the U.S. military. As our windows rattled from the “fly-bys”, these acts were a reminder that the safety of our country remains our goal.
