Julian Schlossberg is a Producer!
As a Broadway, Off-Broadway, film, and TV producer, Julian’s work has won Tony Awards, Obie Awards, Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards.
He produced and directed the music documentary “No Nukes”– a 1979 concert in NYC to raise awareness about the dangers of nuclear energy. Among the many artists who performed in the concert (featured in the documentary) were Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and the Doobie Brothers.
For more than eight years, Julian’s nationally syndicated radio show, “Movie Talk,” provided him with access to hundreds of stars, among them Jack Nicholson, George Burns, Dustin Hoffman, Bob Hope, Jane Fonda, Bette Davis, Anthony Hopkins, Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, and a host of others.
Julian is currently producing Witnesses to the 20th Century, a fourteen-hour TV series examining the century’s major events through the experiences – and voices – of its most prominent people such as George H.W. Bush, Sandra Day O’Connor, Clint Eastwood, Colin Powell, Archbishop Tutu, Willie Mays, and Angela Lansbury, to name a few.
And now Julian Schlossberg has written his memoir: “Try Not to Hold It Against Me” to tell the extraordinary story of a kid from the Bronx who made it to Broadway and beyond.
