Larry and Stewart first met in their twenties. At the time, Larry worked as a “headhunter” for an employment agency; Stewart was looking for a position in public relations. An Ad in the NY Times Classified brought them together.
Soon after Stewart and I started dating, I met Larry. He had established his own Executive Search Firm by then and was married to exotic Isabel, renowned for her culinary skills. Stewart served as best man at their wedding, and Larry was best man at ours.

Over the years, Stewart and I celebrated milestones with Larry (and Isabel) such as the adoption of their son Donald, whom we watched mature into an intelligent and funny teenager.
Then, Stewart and I relocated to South Beach. Larry and Isabel divorced, Donald went away to college, and Larry moved to the West Coast where Joy entered his life.

This recent Zoom conversation marks the first reunion between Stewart and Larry in over two decades.
The video is a “must watch” for actual inspiration. In summary: Larry has had it all, lost it all, had some more, and is always on to his NEXT! This time, next is a collaborative project with his wife Joy. Inspired by a play written by Larry’s son Donald when he was a teenager, Larry and Joy published the first of a series of charming books for youngsters eight years old and up, titled “Willow and the Magical Unicorn Save the Earth!” .
My observation . . . this Conversation is a reminder of how nice it is to reconnect with old friends, especially when history provides some mutually fabulous memories.
